The Story Behind King Dough
King Dough is where pizza becomes a craft. We make naturally leavened dough by hand, ferment it slowly in trays, and bake it in high-heat stone ovens — gas-powered at Indianapolis and electric deck ovens in Carmel — both engineered for the leoparded crust and tender chew of authentic Neapolitan-style pizza.
Every ingredient is chosen with care. We source from Indiana farms and producers whenever possible, including Smoking Goose, Fischer Farms, and Mike's Hot Honey. We use no harmful additives. We make our sauces, our gluten-free flour blend, and our cashew ricotta in-house.
Made for Every Diet
Our owner is celiac. He built King Dough with the understanding that gluten-free customers deserve pizza they can actually trust. We make our own gluten-free flour blend, use dedicated prep surfaces and utensils, and change gloves between every order. For our plant-based pies — including the Hive Mind, called the best vegan pizza in town by HappyCow reviewers — we use BE-Hive plant-based meats and our house-made cashew ricotta.

Welcome to King Dough
King Dough is a place where the act of making pizza is a true craft, driven by quality. Our unique, special, house-made creations are as real as it gets. Pizza is pizza; but at the end of the day you can still do something special with it! We offer a selection of hand-crafted pizzas ranging from vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free pies, to classic favorites. Sized at 14-inches, they are big enough to split with a friend, or to take home leftovers all to yourself. Everything is made fresh, in-house, daily. Our salads are second to none – we prepare them with enough fresh greens, veggies, fruit, meats, and cheeses that they can stand as a meal on their own. Our appetizers, including house-made meatballs, fried calamari, wings, offer great pairings to all of our pizzas. Last but not least, we prepare seasonal desserts in house. The flavors are always changing, but the flavor is always there.
